Your body needs a regular supply of clean water to survive. The human body is made up of 50 to 75% water. Every cell, tissue and organ uses water to work correctly.

Water is essential to maintain performance in everything we do. Being hydrated helps your body sweat to cool down in hot weather or when working hard.

Sydney's drinking water gives NSW cricket players the hydration they need to perform. We're the official hydration partner of Cricket NSW. This year, they'll be staying hydrated from the tap instead of using sports drinks.

By drinking water instead of sports drinks, NSW cricketers will consume 61,000 less teaspoons of sugar this year. That's over 250,000 kilojoules!

To burn off these kilojoules, it would take the equivalent of one person to walk over 24,000 km - that's almost twice the distance around Australia.
